Launch of V-Max500 (Virginiamycin) in India:

With the poultry farming margins under pressure because of increasing cost of feed ingredients, enhancing farm productivity by improving FCR has become the core issue for modern poultry farming. Maintaining healthy intestine is crucial for optimum utilization of feed ingredients. But, bird’s intestine is usually exposed to a great variety of pathogens transferred through feed or water, resulting in poor feed utilization. Clostridium is the major intestinal pathogen, which causes Necrotic Enteritis resulting in poor growth and egg production. During the last few decades there has been tremendous development in the genetic improvement of birds for higher productivity, but at the same time, managing the birds in different weather conditions, especially during extreme summer has been always challenging. V-Max containing Virginiamycin is the right answer to all above problems and has been launched in India recently. V-Max-500 is the Animal Feed Supplement containing Virginiamycin 500 gm per kg. V-Max is manufactured by Phibro Animal Health, USA and imported & marketed in India by Zydus Animal Health Limited. Zydus AHL is the only company in India, marketing virginiamycin.
